1,887 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

MALAYSIA recorded 1,887 new Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of cases to 4,520,852, the Health Ministry reported. 

Its CovidNow website shows that Selangor recorded the highest number of cases, at 776, followed by Kuala Lumpur (371) and Perak (143). 

Other states and federal territories that reported infections were Negri Sembilan (89), Penang (84), Putrajaya (80), Sabah (67), Sarawak (65), Johor (56), Malacca (46), Kedah (43), Pahang (25), Kelantan (24), Terengganu (10), Perlis (7) and Labuan (1). 

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry’s GitHub data shows that three Covid-19 deaths occurred yesterday, of which two were classified as dead on arrival. 

The deaths were reported in Malacca, Pahang and Kedah. 

Since the pandemic, Malaysia has recorded 35,708 Covid-19 deaths.

The fatality rate stood at 0.3% and the cumulative fatality rate, 0.8%. – June 10, 2022.
