PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd will implement cashless transactions for all types of vehicle inspections from July 1.
Its CEO, Shukor Ismail, said this will involve all 54 checkpoints nationwide.
Customers can make payments via e-wallets and credit or debit cards, he added.
Puspakom accepts various e-wallets including Puspakom e-wallet, Alipay, Boost, GrabPay, Maybank QRPay, Touch ‘n Go and WeChat Pay.
“Since April last year, we have implemented cashless payments and issued paperless electronic inspection reports and receipts,” said Shukor.
“Cash payments were still allowed at the time, considering a small number of customers did not have e-wallets, or credit or debit cards.
“However, data shows that more than 90% of our customers now use cashless transactions at all our branches.
“This shows that going cashless is an option as it is easier, faster and safer in terms of hygiene.” – Bernama, June 9, 2022.
