MOH reports 1,330 Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths yesterday

THERE were 1,330 Covid-19 cases yesterday, along with three deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.

One of the deaths was declared dead on arrival at hospital, the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website showed.

The new infections mean there have been 4.52 million infections since the start of the pandemic with 35,690 deaths.

The positivity rate is currently 4.4% based on the 28,853 tests conducted on June 3, with fewer than 30,000 active Covid-19 cases daily since mid-May.

There were 396 hospital admissions for Covid-19 as of yesterday with 4.9% of ICU bed space taken up by Covid-19 patients. Eleven Covid-19 patients are currently on a ventilator. – June 7, 2022.
