A TOTAL of 1.18 million or 33.2% of children aged five to 11 in the country have completed their vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow portal, a total of 1.73 million children or 48.6% of the group have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

For teenagers aged 12 to 17 years, a total of 2.91 million individuals or 93.7% have completed their vaccination while 3.01 million or 96.8% of them have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

As for the adult population, 16.1 million or 68.4% of the group have taken their booster dose, 22.98 million or 97.6% have completed two doses and 23.25 million or 98.8% have received at least one dose.

Yesterday, a total of 4,666 vaccine doses, with 563 as first doses, 2,557 second doses and 1,546 booster doses.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccines administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 70.95 million. – Bernama, June 2, 2022.
