UMNO’s disciplinary board has been asked to take action against any member who issues “detrimental” statements regarding the state government leadership and state party chapter.
Malacca Umno Youth deputy chief Muhammad Akmal Saleh said these personal statements have created an “uneasy” situation among members.
“We do not want anything that can cause anxiety among members, who only want to perform their duties in facing the 15th general election,” he told a press conference today.
Earlier, Akmal, Jasin Umno Wanita chief Siti Faizah Abdul Azis and Malacca Umno Puteri chief Khaidirah Abu Zahar expressed support for Sulaiman Md Ali as chief minister and Ab Rauf Yusoh as state party liaison committee chairman. – Bernama, May 30, 2022.
