PRIME Minister Najib Razak called on the youth to not degrade their own country but to unite and take Malaysia to new heights.
Speaking at the launching ceremony of Kumpulan Masa Depan TN50 (Transformasi Nasional 2050), Najib said he hopes the people can contribute ideas together and make TN50 a reality in 30 years.
“We should never knock down Malaysia. Please. This is our country, we were born here and we are true Malaysians. We will fight for a better future for Malaysia.
“Don’t knock down your own country because we have a chance to make it even stronger, even better, and Malaysia is a great success story, and we will make it even greater in the future insyaallah,” Najib told hundreds of young people during a TN50 dialogue session in Kuala Lumpur today.
Najib was also confident that Malaysia can become a RM2 trillion economy within the coming eight years, and become one of the top 20 countries in the world by 2050.
“We want to be among the top 20 nations. And beyond that I want you to define our future,” he said.
He also said Malaysia’s income will increase after the completion of mega projects such as Iskandar Malaysia, the MRT, and the Pan-Borneo Highway.
Najib said this is why it is important for the government to gather feedback from the people, especially the youth, for a brighter future in Malaysia. β May 26, 2017.
