BERSATU will complete its state seat allocations for the 14th general election by the end of the month, said president Muhyiddin Yassin.

Muhyiddin said that so far the party has agreed on the seat allocations for Perlis, Kedah and Johor.

“The (seat allocations for the) rest of the states are still in various stages of discussion.

“The other parties (in Pakatan Harapan) are still negotiating the seats,” he said at the Bersatu office in Petaling Jaya today.

Muhiyiddin said the PH coalition have agreed that all the seats will be finalised by month end.

“All the 52 parliamentary seats have already been decided. As for the state seats, half has already been completed,” he said.

Muhyiddin said that if at all there is a need for discussion on the allocation of state seats, Bersatu will send in their national team to assist.

“We will send our team to any state that needs assistance so that the decisions on the seats are not delayed. If (seats are) not decided, then this will become an issue for PH.”

Muhyiddin also said the party will be soon be embarking on “Jelajah Semarak 2.0”.

“We will be focusing on areas that need explanation on issues such as the 1Malaysia Development Board (1MDB), Felda, the high cost of living, corruption and other issues.

“There are many places that we need to go and spread this information.”

Muhyiddin also said that he had tea with PH and Bersatu chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad two days ago.

“I went to see Dr Mahathir in Institute Jantung Negara (IJN). He looks well and I wished him a speedy recovery.

“I told him that we have capable leaders and not to worry about Bersatu.

“I also advised him to take more time and rest at home.” – February 14, 2018.
