HAJ pilgrims are expected to get a discount on Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests this year.
Tabung Haji Group CEO and managing director Amrin Awaluddin, however, said the discount, which has yet to be finalised, will be given only to those who take the test at Health Ministry (MOH) facilities.
“The cost of taking the PCR test must be borne by the pilgrims,” he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
“We have just been informed that those who take the test with MOH will get a special discount.”
Pilgrims must take a Covid-19 test 72 hours before leaving for Makkah, he said, and those who test positive will not be allowed to perform the haj and will be replaced. – Bernama, April 22, 2022.
