THE government has announced a special Aidilfitri special aid of RM500 for more than two million civil servants.

Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the money will paid on April 25 with the month’s salary.

He said recipients include contract and temporary workers as well as as short-term employment programme appointees.

Ismail said pensioners will receive RM250, which will also be paid on April 25.

He said RM923 million has been set aside for the aid.

He said the aid has been announced earlier this year to help civil servants plan for Hari Raya.

 “This aid is given in appreciation of the contributions and sacrifices made by the civil servants in providing services to Keluarga Malaysia,” he said in a statement today. – April 5, 2022.
