South Korea passes peak of Omicron wave

SOUTH Korea’s President Moon Jae-in said today that the country has passed the peak of its worst Covid-19 wave, fuelled by the highly transmissible Omicron variant.

But he called for more efforts to keep the number of critically ill patients and deaths under control, according to Yonhap news agency.
