The RON97 petrol retail price will be lower by 17 sen per litre, dropping from RM4 to RM3.83, from tomorrow to March 30, said the Finance Ministry.
Meanwhile, RON95 petrol and diesel prices will remain unchanged.
RON95 costs RM2.05 per litre and diesel, RM2.15, despite the market prices for both commodities rising above the ceiling price, said the ministry.
The prices are based on the weekly retail price of petroleum products in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula, it added.
It said the government will continue to monitor the impact of changes in crude oil prices worldwide and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are safeguarded. – Bernama, March 23, 2022.
