STATE governments administered by Pakatan Harapan  (PH) have been advised not to dissolve its state legislative assemblies until the end of its 2023 term, said the PH Presidential Council.

In a statement, the council explained that the decision was made after taking into consideration the country’s economy including victims of the recent floods as well as the Covid-19 situation.

“The Presidential Council stressed that the focus at this time should be towards saving the people and reviving the economy.

“States under PH are advised to complete its terms until 2023,” the statement read.

PH governs Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang.

Previously, PH was the government in Johor, Malacca and Perak but collapsed following the Sheraton Move which saw Perikatan Nasional taking over the federal government.

Recently, it lost Johor and Malacca to state elections where Barisan Nasional claimed a landslide victory.

The statement today was co-signed by Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Guan Eng, Mohamad Sabu and DAP’s Madius Tangau. – March 17, 2022.
