MALAYSIA recorded 32,800 new Covid cases yesterday, an increase from 30,787 the day before.
According to the CovidNow website, this brings the total number of cases to 3.78 million.
The country also saw a slight rise in new Covid-19 deaths with 76 cases from 70 previously, taking the toll to 33,643.
Of the total fatalities, 21 are dead-on-arrival cases.

Selangor continued to record the highest number of daily infections yesterday, at 9,120, followed by Kuala Lumpur (3,349) and Penang (2,750).
The others were Johor (2,566), Kedah (2,508), Pahang (2,006), Negri Sembilan (1,973), Sarawak (1,745), Kelantan (1,580), Perak (1,494), Sabah (1,176), Terengganu (1,100), Malacca (838), Labuan (113), Perlis (251) and Putrajaya (231).
Of the 76 deaths, Kedah reported the highest number at 15, followed by Selangor (14), Perak (10), Johor (8), Sabah and Negri Sembilan (5), Kuala Lumpur (4), Penang and Perlis (3 each), Kelantan, Malacca, Pahang and Sarawak (2 each) and Terengganu (1 each).
No deaths was reported in Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 322,700 active cases. Of this number, 231 were in intensive care units, with 149 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 24,444 recoveries. β March 12, 2022.
