THE death of 13-year-old N. Revnesh Kumar was not due to the Covid-19 vaccine, doctors said in a peer review report presented by the Health Ministry to the parents, Free Malaysia Today reported.

The teen’s mother, Vijayarani Govindan, confirmed that she received the report today and that it showed the vaccine was not the cause.

“The report states that Revnesh died a sudden death as test results showed that his organs were all healthy and his body was not affected by the vaccine,” FMT quoted her as saying. 

Earlier today, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the report would be handed to the parents this afternoon. 

He said a panel of forensic experts from several public hospitals reviewed Revnesh’s death, using post-mortem results and other tests, including histology examination.

Serdang Hospital forensic pathologist Dr Emizam Mohamadon handed the report to the parents today.

Revnesh died on January 16, 18 days after taking his first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

His parents have blamed the vaccine for causing his death.

According to FMT, Vijayarani was informed by the doctors that the autopsy report would take another week to be completed.

She was also told that the full medical report would take time.

Vijayarani said the family will wait for the full autopsy report before deciding on the next course of action.

Revnesh received his first Pfizer Covid-19 jab at Klinik Kesihatan in Presint 18, Putrajaya, on December 30 last year and was scheduled to receive the second dose on January 20.

He was reported to have collapsed in the elevator of his housing block on January 16 while on his way to a karate class and was rushed to Kajang Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of his death was unexplained despite an autopsy. – March 9, 2022.
