MALAYSIA United Democratic Alliance (Muda) has named another three candidates for the Johor elections.

Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman announced that its executive council members Lim Wei Jiet will contest in Tenang while Nurafiqah M. Zulkifli will be fielded in Bukit Kepong.

Its third candidate, Muda’s state youth chief Azrol Rahani, will contest in Bukit Permai.

Last week, Muda announced its secretary-general Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz will be fielded in the Puteri Wangsa.

Syed Saddiq said the names for candidates in Parit Raja and Machap will be named later.

The seven seats it will contest in the polls were given under an electoral agreement with Pakatan Harapan.

The Election Commission has set polling on March 12 and early voting on March 8. Nomination is on February 26.

Lim, Muda’s founding member and vice president, was born and raised in Muar to teachers.

He went to Muar High School and read law at Universiti Malaya.

Nurafiqah is also a founding member and is a town and planning graduate from the Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia.

Prior to joining Muda, she was a civil rights activist.

Azrol helped found the Johor Muda chapter and is a third generation Felda settler. He is an animation graphic artist.

The Bukit Permai seat he is contesting falls within the Kulai parliamentary constituency, which counts Felda Taib Andak settlers among its voters. – February 21, 2022.
