Malaysia logs 4,774 new Covid cases as of noon

MALAYSIA logged 4,774 fresh Covid-19 infections as of noon today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

This is the third day that daily cases have dipped, and the second day they have remained below 5,000.

The nation reported more than 5,000 coronavirus cases a day from January 27 to 29. It reported the highest number of cases in a day this year on January 28, with 5,522 infections.

The fresh infections today push the total number of reported infections to 2.87 million.

The case breakdown according to states will be updated on the CovidNow portal after midnight. – January 31, 2022.
