Former auditor-general Ishak Tadin dies

FORMER auditor-general Ishak Tadin died at home in Jalan Chan Chin Mooi, Tasik Titiwangsa, today.

He was 86.

His brother-in-law, Zulkhairi Abdul Samad, 60, said Ishak died of old age. 

Zulkhairi said the prayers were performed at the Ibnu Sina Mosque before Ishak was laid to rest at the Taman Tasik Titiwangsa Muslim cemetery.

“He was a nice, quiet person and always gave priority to the administration of the country. He was committed to his career,” Zulkhairi told Bernama.

Ishak leaves behind wife Sa’adah Abd Samad, a son and two daughters.

Ishak served as the secretary-general of the Transport Ministry from 1981 to 1986 before he was appointed auditor-general, a post he held from 1986 to 1994. – Bernama, January 5, 2018.
