MySejahtera glitch messes up booster shot appointments

A TECHNICAL glitch in the MySejahtera app, reportedly since yesterday, has disrupted the daily life of some Malaysians with some not being able to keep their Covid-19 booster shot appointments as they could not show their vaccination history.

Others also complained that they “could not get anywhere” because of the glitch.

The message some Twitter users have received from the app administrators on the problem was: “MySejahtera is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. Please try again later.”

The MySejahtera administrators also expressed their regret for the inconvenience caused.

Some Twitter users, however, stated the reason they were given yesterday was: “Ooops… we are sorry. There was an issue loading your page which may be due to unstable network connection or high traffic volume on the system.

“Please try again in a few hours. Thank you for your patience.”

A Twitter user who goes by the name Alyssa J. @cookiemonstaly, in a posting this afternoon, asked: “How long is MySejahtera gonna be under maintenance. It’s been more than 12 hours now.”

Another Twitter user, wallflower@linlinkins simply thrashed the app with the posting “what a lousy app”.

She said she “can’t login, can’t reset my password!”.

Those who were to get their booster shot today faced a dilemma.

In her tweet, Y@Y1004Memo, asked the question many were asking: “What to do?”

“Tmr (tomorrow) is my booster appt (appointment) but the Mysejahtera app cannot even load on the vaccination part since yesterday,” she posted on her Twitter account.

“How should I proceed with my booster appt? I can’t even login to my own acc of mysejahtera. I did try to reset password but this appeared – a message from the MySejahtera app explaining the problem.”

Munira @muniemuniratul tweeted: “Was waiting for booster shot today but this happened and the clinic also didn’t want to do it manually bcs of this problem. pls fix it asap.”

“I’m getting a booster today, and the app is lagging? I need to show the status. What’s happening?” is the most common posting.

However, a few were lucky and managed to get their shot, like Hui Yan @huiyan, who posted her experience.

“My appointment was at IDCC Shah Alam, walked in and told them my MySejahtera wasn’t working and apparently the whole team at the venue are aware of it,” she wrote.

“They’ll still let you take the vaccine, however the status will only be reflected in the app after 3 days.”

Don Draper @dondraper73 was screaming hell as he could not go to any public place because his app could not be opened.

“Can’t use mysejahtera to get anywhere!!!” he posted on his account. – January 21, 2022.
