MALAYSIA yesterday reported a continued decrease in daily Covid-19 deaths, to 12 from 15 the day before, the Health Ministry said.
This brought the virus death toll to 31,750, of which 6,407 were dead on arrival.
The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.
The ministry’s GitHub raw data repository showed Sabah topping the list of fatalities with three cases.
Johor and Pahang logged two deaths each and Negri Sembilan, Penang, Terengganu, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur, one each.
There were 40,276 active infections, including 198 in intensive care, 93 of whom required respiratory assistance.
Official data showed there were 3,292 recoveries yesterday. – January 14, 2022.
