A SENIOR judge is being investigated by the police after he was accused of sexually harassing a married woman in her home in 2020.

Ampang district police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak confirmed that an investigation is underway after an initial investigation paper had been sent back by deputy public prosecutor for further review.

However, Farouk did not elaborate on the matter.

“We are still in the midst of investigating,” he said when contacted by The Malaysian Insight.

Earlier, news portal FMT reported that the incident occurred in August 2020 when the woman was at home with her bed-ridden husband.

In her report sighted by the news portal, the 57-year-old woman claimed that the judge had visited her family home at close to midnight.

The judge is alleged to have asked the woman for permission to use her bedroom to perform his prayers.

The man stayed in the bedroom for a long time and when the woman entered her room to check, he was lying naked on her bed.

The man left her home at about 3am, telling the woman she had strong faith despite his actions. – January 11, 2022.
