NEGRI Sembilan has closed off 13 routes in five districts to traffic, while four are accessible to only heavy vehicles, following floods and landslides in the state as at 2pm today.
State Public Works Department director Wan Hasnan Wan Musa said the routes involve seven roads in Tampin, Jelebu (4), Jempol (3), Kuala Pilah (2) and Seremban (1).
Among the affected roads are Jalan Jelai-Bahau, Kuala Klawang-Genting Peras, Londah-Gemas, Segamat-Gemas, Jeram Toi, Felda Titi and the Telapak Buruk transmitting station.
Wan Hasnan said the routes will be reopened upon completion of repair works and depending on their condition after the floods.
The department will find alternative routes and announce them from time to time, he added.
He advised all motorists to plan their journeys and be alert of flood warnings and road closures. β Bernama, January 2, 2022.
