3,386 fresh Covid-19 cases

At least 2.76 million people in Malaysia have been infected with Covid-19 since the onset of the pandemic, according to the Ministry of Health. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 1, 2022.

THE Health Ministry has reported 3,386 fresh Covid-19 infections today.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 2.76 million people have now been infected since the onset of the pandemic.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded on the CovidNow website after midnight.

Yesterday, Noor Hisham said the nationwide infection rate remains 0.98, the same figure as yesterday.

At least 22.9 million people or 97.6% of the adult population in the country have completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday.

Meanwhile, 2.76 million adolescents between 12 and 17 have completed their vaccination. – January 1, 2022.
