MALAYSIA recorded 3,997 new Covid-19 infections today, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

This is an increase from yesterday’s count of 3,683 cases.

The new infection takes the cumulative number of cases in the country to 2,754,513.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

A total of 948 patients were hospitalised for Covid-19 in hospitals nationwide yesterday.

The overall hospital bed utilisation rate nationwide was at 63.3% , of which 28.3% were related to Covid-19. – December 30, 2021.
