Rain, thunderstorms forecast in several states on Christmas

THE Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning, with rain and thunderstorms expected in the coastal areas of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu tomorrow morning.

It said similar weather conditions are also expected in Betong, Bintulu, Mukah, Kuching, Sibu and Sarikei in Sarawak, and Kudat, Sandakan and Tawau in Sabah.

Rain and thunderstorms are also predicted to occur in Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Johor, Labuan and Sarawak, and the interior and west coast of Sabah tomorrow evening.

“Tomorrow night, rain is expected in one or two places in Selangor, Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Johor, Labuan, Sabah (interior, west coast, Sandakan and Tawau) and Sarawak (Limbang, Miri and Kapit).” – Bernama, December 24, 2021.

  • Do the Meteorological Dept people understand the word, 'thunderstorm'? Tomorrow, on Christmas Day, the rainfall is likely to be a bit heavy at the east coast, but not thunderstorm. The NE Monsoon is delayed this year, but is picking up strength now.
