THREE bodies were found in the Sri Muda area in Shah Alam as authorities continue to rescue flood-stricken residents.

The flood victims were announced today by Shah Alam police chief Baharudin Mat Taib.

This brings the total of fatalities from the weekend’s severe flooding to four.

“All three of them, including two locals, live in the Sri Muda area,” Astro Awani quoted Baharudin as saying.

The victims’ identities and other information are still being investigated, he added.

The first body, of a man in his 30s, was found yesterday evening near the Alam Idaman Apartments in Section 22.

Police believe him to be the first drowning victim of the floods in the Klang Valley following incessant rain since Friday.

Baharudin said the man was found at the main entrance to Alam Idaman Apartments in Section 22 last night at 7.50pm.

The case has been classified as sudden death, he said in a statement.

Earlier, the discovery of the body was posted on social media after the flood water in front of the apartment began to recede. – December 20, 2021.
