THE Meteorological Department said the bad weather and heavy rain in some states will continue until tomorrow.
The department in a statement said 11 states will experience continuous rainfall.
Bad weather and heavy rain will continue in Lipis, Maran, Jerantut, Kuantan and Cameron Highlands, Pahang, and Gua Musang, Kelantan, until tomorrow.
Cautionary weather conditions and heavy rain will continue in Sik, Baling, Kulim, Kuala Muda and Bandar Baru, Kedah, as well as Perak and Penang.
Other affected areas are Bera, Raub, Pekan, Bentong, Rompin and Temerloh in Pahang; Jeli, Bachok, Tumpat, Machang, Kota Baru, Kuala Krai, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh and Tanah Merah in Kelantan; and, Terengganu.
Alor Gajah in Malacca, Putrajaya, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negri Sembilan will also be affected.
A total of 3,086 flood victims have been evacuated to 30 relief centres in Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang, Selangor.
As of 7am, the victims have been placed in three temporary evacuation centres, namely SK Telok Gong, Masjid As-Islah and Masjid Al-Ubudiah, according to reports.
Selangor Fire and Rescue director Norazam Khamis said 20 areas in Klang have been hit by flash floods, with Telok Gong among the most-affected areas.
Other affected areas are Bandar Botanik, Bandar Sultan Suleiman, Bukit Tinggi, Pandamaran, Pulau Indah and Telok Gadong, he added. – December 18, 2021.
