3,900 new Covid-19 cases

MALAYSIA logged 3,900 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

The number of new infections today is less than yesterday, when 4,097 cases were reported.

The new figures take the total number of virus cases reported to 2.7 million.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, 997 people were admitted to hospitals yesterday. Some 68.3% of hospital beds nationwide are occupied, of which 33.7% are for Covid-19.

Noor Hisham said the infection rate is currently 0.93. – December 15, 2021.
