4,097 new Covid-19 cases

MALAYSIA reported 4,097 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

This is an increase from the previous day when 3,504 cases were reported. 

The new figures take the cumulative number of infections in the country to nearly 2.7 million.

The breakdown of cases by state will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, 922 people were admitted to hospitals yesterday. Some 66.8% of hospital beds nationwide are occupied, of which 34.4% are for Covid-19.
