LOW Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, is still not on Interpol’s Red Notices, said Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

Neither is Nicky Liow, he added.

Both businessmen are on the run – Low over the 1Malaysia Development Bhd scandal, while Winner Dynasty Group founder Liow over his connection with a Macau Scam syndicate.

Police have applied for both fugitives to be included in the Red Notices, but their names have yet to be listed as wanted individuals.

“I will ask Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Abd Jalil Hassan for confirmation as the Red Notice applications need to meet several protocols,” said Acryl Sani.

He said this when asked to comment on developments regarding Low and Liow at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.

Last month, the Home Ministry admitted that it has no information on Low’s whereabouts. – Bernama, December 12, 2021.
