THE Health Ministry reported 31 new Covid-19 deaths yesterday, all of them backdated.
The GitHub raw data repository showed that seven of the 31 fatalities were classified as dead on arrival (DOA).
The national death toll is now at 30,862, of which 6,243 are DOA.
The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day, plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.
Selangor reported 10 fatalities, the most by any state or territory.
It was the only state to report death in double-digits.
Other states reporting deaths were Sabah with seven, Sarawak and Perak (4 each), Kuala Lumpur (2), Kedah, Pahang, Penang and Terengganu (1 each).
No new coronavirus-related deaths was reported in Johor, Kelantan, Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.
Meanwhile, of the seven DOA cases reported, three occurred in Sabah, two in Selangor and one each in Sarawak and Terengganu.
The fatality rate stood at 0.8% while the national average for coronavirus deaths was 13 per population of a million. β December 12, 2021.
