MOH reports 5,446 new Covid-19 cases

THERE were 5,446 Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours leading up to noon today, said health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The latest figures are an increase from the 5,020 reported yesterday, while the new figures take the total number of virus cases reported to 2.68 million

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, there were 1,118 people admitted to hospital yesterday. Some 67.7% of hospital beds nationwide are occupied, of which 36% are for Covid-19.

Noor Hisham said the infection rate is currently at 0.98. – December 9, 2021.
