MOH reports almost 5,000 Covid-19 cases yesterday

THERE were 4,965 Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours to noon today, the fourth day in a row that infections were reported in the 4,000 range, said health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The new figures take the total number of virus cases reported to 2,667,999.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, there were 950 people admitted to hospital yesterday. Some 65.7% of hospital beds nationwide are occupied, of which 35.3% are for Covid-19. – December 7, 2021.
