MALAYSIA recorded 925 Covid-19 hospital admissions yesterday, down from 1,023 the day before, the Health Ministry said.
The hospital utilisation rate has also decreased from 66.4% the day before to 64.9%, of which 39.2% were Covid-19 cases.
There were 261 hospitalisations in the Klang Valley while its hospital utilisation rate stood at 54.5%.
Selangor reported 215 admissions, Kuala Lumpur (27) and Putrajaya (19).
Other states that reported new admissions were Johor with 176, Kedah (35), Kelantan (69), Malacca (25), Negri Sembilan (51), Pahang (44), Perak (54), Perlis (11), Penang (21), Sabah (76), Sarawak (54) and Terengganu (48).
Labuan was the only state that did not report any new admissions.
Meanwhile, the Klang Valley logged 1,337 of the 4,239 Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Selangor reported 1,097 cases, Kuala Lumpur (191) and Putrajaya (49).
Other states that recorded infections were Johor (404), Kedah (253), Kelantan (358), Malacca (159), Negri Sembilan (152), Pahang (324), Perak (220), Perlis (19), Penang (262), Sabah (408), Sarawak (158), Terengganu (172) and Labuan (13).
The number of active cases now stands at 66,455, with 54,695 (82.3%) under home quarantine, 6,550 (9.9%) in quarantine centres and 4,699 (7.1%) hospitalised.
A total of 512 patients are in intensive care units, with 261 needing respiratory support. β November 29, 2021.
