Malaysia logs 29 new Covid deaths

MALAYSIA recorded 29 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, with six classified as dead on arrival, the Health Ministry reported. 

The fresh fatalities raise the death toll to 30,309. 

The ministry derives the daily figure from the sum total of the number of reported deaths on a given day, including backlog cases only just confirmed by health authorities to be due to Covid-19.

According to MOH’s Github raw data depository, Perak recorded the highest number of new deaths for a second consecutive day at seven. 

The state has recorded a total of 1,248 Covid deaths since the pandemic began. 

The remaining deaths were in Kedah (6), Kelantan (6), Johor (2), Pahang (2), Sabah (2), Terengganu (2) and Kuala Lumpur (2).

No new deaths was reported in Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Perlis, Penang, Sarawak, Selangor, Labuan and Putrajaya.
