1,023 hospitalised with Covid-19 yesterday

MALAYSIA recorded 1,023 Covid-19 hospital admissions yesterday, down from 1,177 the day before, the Health Ministry said.

The hospital utilisation rate has also decreased from 67.9% the day before to 66.4%, of which 37.6% were Covid-19 cases.

There were 335 hospitalisations in the Klang Valley while its hospital utilisation rate stood at 59.7%. 

Selangor reported 263 admissions, Kuala Lumpur (46) and Putrajaya (26).

Other states that reported new admissions were Johor with 147, Kedah (34), Kelantan (75), Malacca (13), Negri Sembilan (36), Pahang (56), Perak (55), Perlis (8), Penang (30), Sabah (118), Sarawak (73), Terengganu (40) and Labuan (3).

The Klang Valley logged 1,902 of the 5,097 Covid-19 cases yesterday. 

Selangor reported 1,503 cases, Kuala Lumpur (330) and Putrajaya (69). 

Other states that recorded infections were Johor (337), Kedah (459), Kelantan (430), Malacca (177), Negri Sembilan (204), Pahang (329), Perak (231), Perlis (33), Penang (227), Sabah (438), Sarawak (137), Terengganu (171) and Labuan (22).

The number of active cases now stands at 67,252, of which 54,403 (80.9%) are under home quarantine, 7,061 (10.5%) in quarantine centres and 5,278 (7.8%) hospitalised.

A total of 510 patients are in intensive care units, with 258 on ventilators. – November 28, 2021.
