MALAYSIA recorded 40 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, with eight pronounced dead on arrival, the Health Ministry (MOH) said.
The fresh fatalities raise the toll to 30,280.
The daily death count is the sum of the reported deaths on a particular day plus just-confirmed Covid-19 fatalities by health authorities.
According to MOH’s Github raw data depository, Perak recorded the highest number of new deaths at six.
The state has recorded a total of 1,241 Covid deaths since the epidemic began.
The remaining deaths were in Kelantan (5), Selangor (5), Terengganu (5), Johor (3), Pahang (3), Penang (3), Sabah (2), Sarawak (2), Kuala Lumpur (2), Kedah (1), Malacca (1), Negri Sembilan (1) and Perlis (1).
There were no new deaths in Labuan and Putrajaya.
Malaysia’s current case fatality rate is at 0.7%. – November 28, 2021.
