MALAYSIA reported 6,288 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the second highest since last Friday.
The fresh infections bring the total number of reported cases to about 2.5 million.
The country recorded its highest daily cases in three weeks last Friday, when 6,517 cases were reported.
The case breakdown according to states will be uploaded onto the CovidNow portal after midnight.
The seven-day R-naught average is currently at 1.04, lower than the 1.05 yesterday.
The seven-day hospitalisation rate average reported a 7% increase, with hospital bed utilisation at 68% nationwide.
A total of 22.3 million individuals (95.4% of the adult population) are fully vaccinated as of yesterday, while 22.9 million individuals (97.7%) have received at least one vaccine dose.
A total of 2.5 million (81%) adolescents have completed their Covid-19 vaccination, while 2.74 million (87.2%) have received at least one vaccine dose. β November 17, 2021.
