MALAYSIA logged 1,175 Covid-19 hospital admissions as of midnight yesterday with bed utilisation at 66.4%, the CovidNow website showed.
The admission figure is a slight decrease from the 1,321 the day before.
There were 362 admissions in the Klang Valley. On a seven-day average, the region recorded a 20% increase in hospitalisations with 348 admissions, while bed utilisation stood at 57%.
Selangor reported 308 admissions, Kuala Lumpur 41 and Putrajaya 13.
Meanwhile, Terengganu had the highest utilisation rate of 85.5% with 67 admissions.
Other states reporting new hospital admissions were Johor with 186, Sarawak (104), Sabah (103), Kelantan (82), Negri Sembilan (52), Perak (70), Kedah (36), Pahang (50), Malacca (33), Penang (19) and Perlis (10) and Labuan (1).
Meanwhile, the Klang Valley contributed 1,610 infections of the nation’s 5,162 cases yesterday.
Selangor reported 1,266 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (278) and Putrajaya (66).
Other states that reported new infections were Johor (432), Kedah (366), Kelantan (499), Malacca (216), Negri Sembilan (174), Pahang (313), Perak (258), Perlis (11), Penang (325), Sabah (442), Sarawak (299), Terengganu (200) and Labuan (17).
As of yesterday, there were 65,417 active Covid-19 cases, 51,030 of them in home quarantine, 8,067 in low-risk quarantine centres and 5,796 in hospital. – November 15, 2021.
