MALAYSIA logged 55 new Covid-19 deaths as of midnight yesterday, a drop for the fourth consecutive day despite rising new infections.
The GitHub raw data repository showed all the deaths were backlog cases, 11 of which were classified dead on arrival.
This takes the Covid-19 toll in Malaysia to 29,631.
The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sarawak, which saw 22 deaths, followed by Sabah (5), Selangor (5), Kelantan (5), Perak (5), Kedah (4), Terengganu (4) Malacca (2), Johor (1), Pahang (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).
There were no deaths reported in Negri Sembilan, Penang, Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan.
As of midnight, there were 65,319 active infections, up from 61,803 on November 10.
Meanwhile, 50,862 patients are in home quarantine, 8,196 in low-risk quarantine centres, and 5,734 hospitalised. β November 14, 2021.
