MALACCA voters should choose Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the upcoming state elections if they want to see changes for good, says Abdul Hadi Awang.

The PAS president said the parties in the PN coalition are not extremist like others.

He did not specifically name the parties he was referring to.

“We formed Perikatan. A new alliance. We gathered parties that are not extreme, that can unite and work together.

“PAS, Bersatu and Gerakan are contesting under the PN banner. We are contesting to reject extremist parties.

“A reform must be made. If Malacca wants to change, they have to choose PN,” the PAS president said at a PN ceramah today in the run-up to the Malacca state election.

PN is contesting all 28 seats in Malacca. Bersatu will contest 15 seats, PAS eight and Gerakan five.

The state will go to the polls on November 20.

Pakatan Harapan won the state in the last general election but the state government collapsed following defections that allowed an Umno-led government to take over.

However, that state government was also ousted, after four assemblymen, including two from Umno, pulled their support for chief minister Sulaiman Md Ali. – November 12, 2021.
