PAKATAN Harapan has launched its manifesto for the Malacca elections, based on three core values: welfare, economy and governance.

Adly Zahari, who has been nominated for the post of Malacca chief minister, said the manifesto would outline three core moves, six strategies and 32 initiatives.

“The core moves will focus on health and the threat of Covid-19, including upgrading the people’s way of life, creating jobs to elevate the economy, and assisting small and medium enterprises.

“We will also ensure that Malacca has a stable government that is fair, transparent and acts with integrity.”

The PH manifesto also has an anti-hopping party enactment, exco status for the opposition leader and fair provisions for all assemblymen.

It also stated that all assemblymen will have to declare their assets and will initiate an open tender process for projects.

There will also be a special Covid-19 fund for the state that includes free test kits for high-risk groups and industries.

The manifesto stated that the fund will be used to protect people from the mental effects of Covid-19. There will also several welfare schemes.

The fund will also assist families who have lost family members as a result of Covid-19. A medical card worth RM300 will be provided for B50 families who are eligible for treatment at private clinics.

The manifesto also said the PH state administration was able to fulfil 62 of its 85 manifesto promises for GE14 within 18 months.

This includes providing free bus services, the construction of 100 free houses  and uplifting 1,070 families from poverty. – November 10, 2021.
