THE most common symptoms associated with Long Covid are lethargy, followed by breathing difficulties and coughing, the Health Ministry (MOH) said.

“Some 79.4% of 17,308 recovered Covid-19 patients complained about lethargy while 54.1% said they had breathing difficulties when doing certain activities,” said MOH in a written reply to Parliament yesterday.
The ministry found that 17.9% complained about coughing while 14.5% had difficulty sleeping and 10.2% suffered anxiety issues.
The ministry was responding to Salim Sharif’s (Jempol-BN) question on the number of Long Covid patients and their symptoms.
Meanwhile, MOH said that 67% or 18,121 of the 28,576 people who had died of Covid-19, as at October 26, were unvaccinated.
“Nineteen per cent or 5,290 of the deaths were of those who had only received one dose of vaccine while only 3% or 785 of the deaths were among those who had received two doses of vaccines,” said MOH.
“Twelve per cent or 3,028 of the deaths were of the fully vaccinated,” it added.
MOH said that the Covid-19 death rate among the fully vaccinated in Malaysia is only 0.016% or 160 for every one million Malaysians. – November 9, 2021.
