MEDICAL clinics must inform the Ministry of Health (MOH) of their operating hours to avoid people missing their appointments for Covid-19 booster shots, Deputy Health Minister I Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali said.

“We are aware of the matter where people have been given appointments for booster shots but were unable to get them as the clinics were closed,” he told the Dewan Rakyat today.
“Clinics must update MOH on their operating hours so that it can be included in the MySejahtera application,” said the Bagan Serai MP.
“MOH is unable to keep track of the thousands of clinics involved in the Covid-19 booster programme.”
Noor Azmi was responding to Cha Kee Chin’s (Rasah-PH) supplementary question on Malaysians who have been unable to keep their booster shot appointments after going to their designated clinics and finding them closed.
“I have a list of complaints from Malaysians who received appointments for a certain clinic in Senawang but when they went there, it was closed,” said Noor Azmi.
He said MOH is aware of the problem and is in the process of rectifying it.
Malaysia began administering Covid-19 booster shots for frontliners and those aged above 60 and high-risk individuals on October 13. – November 8, 2021.
