MALAYSIA logged 46 new Covid-19 deaths as of midnight, the Health Ministry reported.
All 46 deaths reported were backlog cases as they had taken place before November 2.
The country has now recorded a total of 29,091 deaths since start of the epidemic.
According to data from the Health Ministry’s GitHub raw data repository, 15 people were classified as dead on arrival.
The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported deaths on the day plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19 after investigation.
Sarawak logged the highest number of deaths for the fourth consecutive day at 10, followed by Kelantan (9) and Johor (8).
Other states and federal territories that reported new deaths yesterday were Sabah (4), Kedah and Perlis (3 each), Malacca and Penang (2 each), and Negri Sembilan, Perak, Selangor, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur (1 each).
No deaths were recorded in Pahang, Labuan and Putrajaya.
The national average per population of one million is 21 deaths, with Sarawak having the highest with 55 fatalities per million people. – November 4, 2021.
