MEMBERS of Parliament took the opportunity today to get Covid-19 vaccine booster shots facilitated by the Health Ministry at Parliament.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun said MPs needed to be safe as they often met people and returned to their constituencies, especially during the flood season.

“I would like to thank the (ministry) for providing the booster dose to all members of Parliament,” he told reporters after checking on the process while also receiving his injection.

The dispensing of the booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine began today from 9.30am and will continue until 4pm at Parliament’s banquet hall.

Checks by Bernama found MPs waiting for their turn as early as 9.20am.

Among the MPs seen waiting for their shots were Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry Mohamed Azmin Ali, Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah and Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.

Booster dosing began nationwide on October 13. – Bernama, November 2, 2021.
