MALAYSIA reported 6,630 new Covid-19 cases as of noon, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The country has been reporting fewer than 10,000 daily infections for 20 days straight. The last time it reported a five-digit count was on October 2, with 10,915.
The total number of reported Covid-19 cases now stands at 2.4 million, including the new ones today.
The case breakdown according to states will be updated on the CovidNow portal after midnight.
A total of 71.8% (23.4 million people) of the population are fully vaccinated, said the Health Ministry.
According to the CovidNow portal, 235,607 vaccines doses were dispensed yesterday under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Of the total, 30,198 were first doses, while 186,362 were second doses. A total of 19,047 booster shots were also administered. – October 22, 2021.
