INDIA’S narcotics agency officers visited Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Mumbai today in connection with a case involving his son.

The film star’s 23-year-old son Aryan Khan was arrested in controversial circumstances along with some other people by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) earlier this month in connection with a drugs case related to a cruise ship rave party.

No banned drugs were found in Aryan’s possession, according to media reports.

Shah Rukh has not publicly commented on the case and today met his son in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail for the first time since the arrest on October 3.

An NCB team visited the film star’s mansion “to complete paperwork” and not for any searches, according to a report on the NDTV website.

The Bombay High Court will hear Aryan’s bail application next week.

Some in Maharashtra state, home to India’s business and entertainment hub Mumbai, see the drugs case as an attempt to target Bollywood by dragging one of its globally recognisable names into the drugs controversy.
