71.2% of population inoculated against Covid-19

MALAYSIA has inoculated 71.2% of its population after 256,497 vaccine doses were dispensed yesterday.

According to the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply, 25,285,399 individuals or 77.4% of the population have now received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday, 79.7% of adolescents have received one dose of the vaccine, while 38.7% have been fully vaccinated.

The Health Ministry’s CovidNow website tracker projects that 80% of the total population will be fully vaccinated by December 17.

As for the adult population, 94.2% have been vaccinated.

So far, Malaysia has administered more than 48.43 million doses under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. – October 21, 2021.
