Health Ministry reports 7,509 new Covid-19 cases yesterday

MALAYSIA reported 7,509 daily Covid-19 infections as of noon today, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

The country has consistently reported fewer than 10,000 daily cases for the past two weeks. There were 10,915 infections recorded on October 2.

With the latest figure, the country has recorded 2.38 million Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.

The breakdown of cases will be updated on the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, 67.5% of Malaysia’s population has been inoculated as of yesterday.

The country has already immunised 95.1% of its adult population.

The Health Ministry’s CovidNow website projects 80% of the population will be vaccinated by December 13. – October 16, 2021.
