66.6% of population fully inoculated against Covid

MORE than 21 million people or 66.6% of the population have been fully inoculated against Covid-19, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply said.

The committee said a total of 75.4% or 24.6 million of the population have received at least one dose.

Meanwhile, close to 2.4 million or 75.9% of adolescents have received one dose of the vaccine as of yesterday, while 453,906 or 14.4% have been fully vaccinated.

Using the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website tracker, it projects 80% of the total population will be fully vaccinated by December 4.

Meanwhile, Malaysia has now fully inoculated 90.9% of its adult population after achieving its 90% target.

Yesterday, 207,520 vaccine doses were administered. With this, the country has dispensed more 46.25 million doses under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. – October 14, 2021.
